FROM SAN CANDIDO TO PRA MARINO IN VAL VISDENDE

It starts from San Candido in via Paul Reiner 16, just outside the village, take the forest road that climbs to Monte Elmo, from here follow the path of the path 403 Carnica crossing on mule tracks and well-beaten paths up to the SillianerHutte. From here, the track follows paths often on the ridge and rather technical where to pay attention. Spectacular panorama with the Sesto Dolomites on the right and those of Lienz on the left. Once you reach Hochgrantensee lake, leave path 403 going down to the right in Italian territory, losing altitude towards the Rotecksattle pass. From here the track continues in a continuous ups and downs until the short descent on high altitude meadow that leads to the Silvella pass. You then go up towards the Quaternà with a short push to then go along the long and sliding descent of the Costa della Spina with some technical stretch that deposits in Casamazzagno. At the first houses, take a road that is initially sliding, but then has hard uphill ramps. A comfortable descent leads to the paved road that from Sega Digon climbs to Malga Silvella. Follow it downhill to the Pian della Mola crossroads. Here you go up on a dirt road towards Malga Mellin, but before reaching it you go right and with ups and downs always on the forest road you take the road that climbs to the De Doo refuge and then to Monte Zovo. In this section, pay attention to the indications, the road you are traveling on is not mapped on the maps. Once at the top of the Zovo you go left towards the Zovo fork, and then downhill on asphalt you get to Casera Pra Marino in Val Visdende.
FROM PRA MARINO TO PASSO CASON DI LANZA

From Malga Pra Marino you can almost complete the Giro delle Malghe. Then from the start we head towards Malga Dignas first on a paved road and then on a dirt track. From Malga Dignas you go along the whole road of the Malghe which with agile ups and downs leads to Malga Chivion. From here you go down to the right up to the forest track that climbs from Val Visdende towards the sources of the Piave. Go up to the Col di Caneva Pass and then to the Sorgenti del Piave Refuge. From here you descend towards Passo Avanza and always downhill towards Casera Casa Vecchia and then dive to Pierabech. From Pierabech you descend into the Rio di Fleons and cross it, reaching the forest track that leads to Forni Avoltri. You come out near the cemetery, then already on the road leading to Collina and then with a dirt track you get to the altitude of 2122m at the Marinelli refuge. From the Marinelli refuge you first descend on a path and then take the forest road that leads to the state road 52 bis. From here you continue downhill on an asphalted road to Timau and then Cleulis-Laipacco. Continue to the Moscardo tower. On asphalt climb to Naunina and then from here the cycle path to Treppo. From treppo you go up to Castel Valdaier. The track enters the villages and leaves the provincial road about 100 meters before the official climb to the castle, to take secondary dirt roads. From the Castle you go up through the forest to Malga Culet from where you then go down along a dirt road to Cercevesa and then Stua di Ramaz. On asphalt go up to Passo Cason di Lanza.
A sprint to the casera takes the forest road that goes back to the Lake of Volaia with a view of Monte Coglians and then, arrived at the Lambertenghi – Romanin Refuge along the path 144 which leads to the base camp set up just before the hill country near the campsite.
FROM CASON DI LANZA PASS TO TARVISIO

The departure takes place from the Cason di Lanza hut by taking the dirt road behind it, after a cobbled ramp, follow the signs for the “Attila path” on the left and continue alternating pedaled sections with some push not at all annoying. In a short time you get to saddle Valdolce from here you go down on a path in Austria to the RattendorferAlm, then a short stretch of road downhill and at the first bend you take the path on the coast. The path is for a short stretch pedaled up to a ford where you leave the track and climb over the fence following the signs for “Grosse Sattle”. Climb on the maximum slope for a few meters until you cross the forest that you go left up to Tropolacheralm. From the hut you go down the road, leave the first crossroads and at the second turn right. From here you go up the forest track to Madrizze and from here you go down along the path “Livio” and then to the Hotel Gallo Forcello. From here, take the forest road to the Auernig hut and then the Kronalm hut. At this point you go up to GarnitzelSattle returning to Austrian territory and downhill to the Zollhutte refuge where you take a track on the right in the meadow. At this point, follow the CAI 403 signpost to Egger Alm passing through Sella della Spalla, Sella Zille and Sella Chersnizze. From Egger Alm, on asphalt, you skirt the lake and just before DellacherAlm go up to the right in the direction of Monte Poludnig and then continue towards Sella di Fontanafredda, always on a dirt road and return to Italy. From the Sella di Fontanafredda with descent first, quiet and then very fast, you get to the farmhouse from Rosic and then further down, take the asphalted road towards Ugovizza. Along the descent, climb left towards Malga Acomizza from where you will always descend to Sella on the forest road di Bartolo from where we head towards Camporosso along the whole Val Bartolo. Once in Camporosso, go along the “Alpe Adria” cycle path until you reach Tarvisio at the Old Station.
